5 revelations of life during a Ramoji Film City trip

Written by Som Nandi

When I entered Ramoji Film City with my bunch of friends, we had preconceived ideas of fun that most of you would have. But surely the film city was beyond our imagination and we took back home much more than what we thought. Here are a few revelations from the trip.

Sun sets for a cause

Ramoji Film City shuts down at 5.30 pm. And a day spent at the largest film city of the world is worth the money I understand. But only those who choose to stay in the hotels inside get to experience the splendid Ramoji Film City at night. The silence of the night, the mammoth structures in glittering lights, the chilling air and ofcourse the dearth of people populating the streets – it seems that the sun sets just to make Ramoji Film City more beautiful.

A day is sufficient to live a lifetime

Nowhere else in the world will I find natural picturesque landscapes, mammoth architectural wonders, amusement park, daredevil adventure land and ofcourse the make belief world of films under one roof. One day at the film city is like living a lifetime.

Best way to sort out differences is war

Does your friends group consist of people who always have ways to counter each other? From ordering food at a restaurant to choosing the rides, from choosing the activities to indulge in to the shows to attend, we had a discussion (read argument) on everything during our trip. And then we found Sahas. A paintball battlefield was right open in front us. That’s where we spilt in groups, armed ourselves and waged a war.

God and Ramoji Film City fulfill all wishes

Ten minutes into the film city and we realized that the place is flooded with people ranging from elderly to toddlers. One common thing that caught my eye was that all of them had a thrill on their face. Be a kid or an old man, Ramoji Film City had something for everyone.

Left or Right? Directionless is the new direction

Ramoji Film City stretches upto 1,600 acres. So the primary question that we ended up asking each other was – “Which way to start the tour with – left or right?” It doesn’t matter. You take a left or you take a right, you will find happiness walking your way.
